Over the top!

We’ve had two very good days!

On Wednesday my friend Mary from Morningside and Vermont called with an easy-to-accept offer: Can I buy 25 copies of Mother Fracker? Then she stunned me with another idea: Can I turn the purchase price into another Kickstarter pledge (having made a generous pledge previously!)? The result: With Mary’s pledge, we topped our Kickstarter goal of $4,500 dollars with 12 days to go! Subsequent pledges are helping to spread the word about the book. Thanks to all.

Yesterday, the Rappahannock Debate and Cider Society gathered anew for the annual fall cider pressing. Fifteen bushels=35 gallons and a lot of aching joints, but it was darned well worth the camaraderie, the added experience and the future enjoyment of the group’s third effort. Photos TK. Mother Fracker readers will recognize some plot developments built around cider-making, of course. The Tyler twins, Maddie and Marley, didn’t show this year, but we had other newcomers: Jan M and Jim B!
